Lunch & Learn- When Leadership Gets Messy: New Managers & Emerging Leaders

Lunch & Learn- When Leadership Gets Messy: New Managers & Emerging Leaders

Wednesday, March 25, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:30 PM) (MDT)

Description

Leadership doesn’t get messy because people are doing something wrong — it gets messy because you're leading people, expectations, and pressure all at once. This interactive session gives new managers and emerging leaders a practical framework for recognizing when things start to go sideways and how to respond with clarity instead of frustration, avoidance, or burnout. Through guided exercises and real-world scenarios, participants will walk away with a personalized roadmap for navigating tension, making better leadership decisions, and shifting messy situations toward productive outcomes.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Recognize early warning signs when leadership situations start to go sideways — before tension turns into chaos or disengagement.
  • Separate what they can control from what they can’t, allowing them to respond strategically instead of reacting emotionally.
  • Use a practical step-by-step framework to pause, assess, and reset messy situations with teams, peers, or stakeholders.
  • Identify their leadership value and strengths, and use them as a guide when making difficult decisions or navigating misalignment.
  • Leave with a personal leadership roadmap they can immediately apply the next time a project, team dynamic, or decision gets messy.

This “Lunch and Learn” will be packed with practical ways you can get involved right away!
