Description
Bridging Our Divides -- Fostering Understanding and Connection Where We Live, Work, and Belong
In our small, rural county, we don't have the luxury of living in isolated bubbles. We see each other at the grocery store and the post office; we work and serve on boards together. While our close-knit geography creates strong ties, deep political, social, and cultural differences can make community life feel tense and polarized.
This interactive workshop offers practical, effective skills designed to help us understand others, de-escalate reactivity, (ours and others), and identify the shared human needs that unite us.
Rachel Turiel’s mission is to inspire and support personal and collective growth by sharing tools of collaboration, communication and liberation. She facilitates trainings at schools, organizations and businesses, locally and nationally. She won the Durango Women’s Resource Center Extraordinary Woman Award: Champion of Peace and Nonviolence, and brings tools of Nonviolent Communication to every aspect of her work. More here
