⭐Lunch & Learn: Online Reviews & You

October 28, 2026 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM (MDT)

Description

Take Control of Your Online Reputation

Online reviews can shape a customer’s decision before they ever visit your website, call your business, or walk through the door. Join GoodRep CEO & Founder Jeff Hughes for a practical Lunch & Learn focused on helping local business owners take control of their online presence and turn their reputation into a tool for growth.

Jeff will show you how to monitor and respond to customer reviews across Google, Facebook, and Yelp, while building a simple strategy that makes reputation management part of your everyday business. Whether you’re just getting started or struggling to keep up with customer feedback, you’ll leave with practical steps you can put to work right away.

What You’ll Learn:

  1. Claim and strengthen your business profiles. Learn how to claim and complete your Google and Yelp listings and why an incomplete profile could cost you customers before a review is even written.
  2. Respond to reviews with confidence. Get a simple framework for responding to positive and negative reviews and turning difficult feedback into an opportunity to demonstrate great customer service.
  3. Build review requests into your customer experience. Learn when and how to ask satisfied customers for reviews without making it awkward or complicated.
  4. Understand what your rating means for your business. Learn how to benchmark your online reputation against competitors and better understand how star ratings can influence customer decisions.
  5. Simplify how you manage your reputation. See how a centralized dashboard like GoodRep can help you monitor reviews across platforms so customer feedback doesn’t fall through the cracks.

Jeff Hughes is the CEO and Founder of goodrep.io, a simple reputation management dashboard built for small business owners. His diverse background includes work as a photojournalist, wildland firefighter, humanitarian, and small business owner. He holds a Master of Public Administration from CU Denver.
